In light of the continuing impact of the pandemic, some US airlines have modified their requirements for earning elite status based on 2021 activity. The table below compares the requirements of AA, DL, UA and AS. Status earned in 2021 would generally be valid through the end of 2022.

The changes in requirements consist of a variety of approaches, such as reduced requirements (AA,UA), rollover from 2020 (AA,DL,AS), and automatic PQP deposits based on end-of-2020 status (UA).
